Karina Ambartsoumian-Clough is the Executive Director and a founding member of United Stateless, the only U.S. nonprofit led by stateless    people. Drawing from her own lived experience of statelessness, she has built a national movement that combines legal empowerment, community resilience, and policy advocacy to address the estimated 200,000 people without citizenship in the United States. Under her leadership, United Stateless has launched the first Stateless Legal Clinic in the country,  produced the award-winning documentary Citizens of Nowhere, and leads national efforts to pass the Stateless Protection Act.

Thomas Harper serves as the Senior Counsel in International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for the American Red Cross, where he leads a nationwide IHL dissemination program. Thomas has also served as a military attorney in the U.S. Army JAG Corps for more than 14 years,  including service in Afghanistan. He currently serves in the Army Reserve where he advises on space domain operations. Thomas also regularly uses pop culture such as Star Wars to help teach about IHL on national stages, including at San Diego Comic-Con and other large pop culture conventions.
