Many ARCAN members continue to support the Red Cross, rolling up their sleeves to volunteer or make blood or financial donations. Many more have taken their passions and prowess to other great causes, some even creating brand new organizations that are taking up the challenges of a changing world. Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region as a Category 4 storm, the largest to ever hit the region. As the storm moved north, it proceeded to devastate communities across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee, leaving 15 million people without power, destroying up to 10,000 homes and damaging nearly 400 roads and highways. This storm's wrath has been catastrophic. The Red Cross is committed to being on the ground, from immediate necessities to longer-term support but that's only possible with your help.
