Jack McMaster and Chris Hrouda will speak about recent Red Cross innovations that the Scientific and Medical Advisory councils have contributed to, including virtual reality elements incorporated into lifeguard training and Red Cross blood saving lives on ambulances in urban areas with high frequency of violent crime.

The American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council and Medical Advisory Council are volunteer committees of nationally recognized experts who ensure Red Cross programs, products, and public guidance are based on the latest scientific and medical evidence.
